ART AND DEMOCRACY

AiR-PROJECT / ALLER.LAND PROGRAM

In 2024, we will take part in the federal funding program "Aller.Land – zusammen gestalten. Strukturen stärken”. With the collaborative Artist-in-Residence project "Art and Democracy in the Bavarian Forest", the SCHIESSLHAUS AiR, together with the Municipality of Kollnburg, the District of Regen and the BILD-WERK FRAUENAU e.V., was nominated and selected for the funding program as one of 12 regions in Bavaria. The aim of the program is to promote coexistence in rural areas through cultural, artistic and creative projects and to strengthen local democracy through citizen participation.
 
In cooperation with further partners from the regional art and culture scene, around 20 international and regional artists shall be invited to the SCHIESSLHAUS AiR and the BILD-WERK FRAUENAU every year to realize participatory, artistic projects and cultural events for an open, democratic and diverse society in the Bavarian Forest as part of the jointly developed, long-term and participation-oriented cultural project.
