COMMON SPACE: COUNTRYSIDE - CITY

Final exhibition of the Schiesslhaus AiR 2023

The highlight of this year’s Artist-in-Residence Program at the Künstlerhaus Kollnburg is the final exhibition titled “COMMON SPACE: COUNTRYSIDE – CITY” at the Altes Spital in Viechtach. From July 21 to 30, this curated group show will present selected artistic works by our four guest artists MARIIA MYTROFANOVA, ZEYNEP AYŞE HATIPOĞLU, AFSHIN CHIZARI, OLSEN.
The exhibition opening will take place on July 20, with the presence of the artists, curators, and project partners. During the opening evening, there will be a performance by Mariia Mytrofanvova and Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoğlu will perform live with violoncello, electronics, field recordings, and sound objects in the chapel of the Altes Spital. The artists will be present during the opening hours and can be approached to discuss their works. In addition, there will be guided tours by art educator and media artist Britta Wahlers, a children’s art workshop involving all exhibiting artists, and a vinyl session with DJ Booty Carrell in the exhibition.

~ 6 pm: Welcome speeches by Hans Greil, 2nd Mayor of the City of Viechtach, and Herbert Preuß, 1st Mayor of the Municipality of Kollnburg, curatorial introduction by Anna-Helena Klumpen und Katrin Savvulidi
~ 7 pm:  Performance by Mariia Mytrofanova 
~ 9 pm: Concert by Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoğlu
